Why Buy a Holiday Home in North Wales?

With a fantastic selection of holiday homes available from as little as £12,000 there has never been a better time to become an owner. We currently have three holiday parks in some of the most beautiful parts of North Wales surrounded by beaches, mountains and all manner of towns, villages and cities to visit.

Here are just some of the reasons you should consider holiday home ownership in North Wales:

A Huge Range of Outdoor Activities

North Wales is a paradise for any outdoor enthusiast with an array of outdoor activities the whole family can enjoy. The region is packed with things to do including high-rope courses, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, canoeing, horse riding, off-roading, quad biking and clay pigeon shooting to name just a few. All of these activities are instructor led and are suitable for all ages and abilities.

One of the most unique attractions in the area is the magnificent Zip World which is home to the longest zip wire in the northern hemisphere reaching speeds of up to 100mph through the peaks and quarries of Snowdonia. You can even descend a whole mountain on a zip wire and there’s also plenty of smaller wires and rides for younger children to enjoy.

Another must-visit attraction is deep underground where you can explore the various caverns used by Victorians to mine slate. These unique guided tours are fascinating enough, but it’s an unforgettable sight when you see the amazing light displays complete with trampolines and nets throughout.

Festivals & Special Events Throughout the Year

Whatever time of year you choose to visit North Wales, there’s always something going on. 2018 is the “Year of the Sea” with various special events taking place throughout the year to celebrate the outstanding coastline and rich cultural heritage of the area. From simple sandcastle competitions to major events like the Volvo Ocean Race, it’s set to be an action-packed year.

During the summer months, you can visit the Prom Xtra at Colwyn Bay which features a wealth of live entertainment, activities and rides the whole family can enjoy. The annual LLangollen International Music Eisteddfod takes place every July with over 4000 performers from around the world in a unique combination of competition, performance, international peace and friendship.

For a more a rural experience, the Anglesey Agricultural Show is held over a two-day period with something to entertain everyone including animals, food, crafts, vintage agricultural equipment, a fairground, magicians and face painting. Another fantastic summer event is the free-to-attend Rhyl Air Show, where you can see an array of spectacular displays of military and commercial aircraft.

Spectacular Coastline to Explore

Anyone who loves the beach will love North Wales; with over 250 miles of glorious coastline and an incredible variety of diverse beaches. The many coastal resorts include Colwyn Bay which has a longer coastline than Rio’s Copacabana beach and Abersoch with a world-class water sports programme. Rhyl and Llandudno also have some excellent beaches as well as bustling promenades with plenty of traditional seaside entertainment to enjoy.

For a more peaceful experience, you can visit one of the many secluded beaches tucked away beyond Snowdonia’s craggiest peaks in the Lynn Peninsula; a picturesque region unlike anything else you’ll find in Wales. The area is also home to the Ty Coch Inn, one of the very best beach bars in the world with spectacular views across the Irish Sea and a beautiful sandy beach right on the doorstep.

One of the best ways to explore the coast is by taking a trip out on a RibRide Adventure Boat Tour operating from Porth Daniel, Menai Bridge. These trips take can take you anywhere from the ferocious tides and whirlpools of the Menai Straits to the rocky peninsulas and white sandy beaches of Llandwyn Island. The state of the art vessels are capable of carrying up to 11 people reaching speeds of up to 50mph and tours are available throughout the year.
